Dwight Lucas

Dwight loves to blend the student’s interests into his teaching. He believes that music is about learning and exploring new techniques that relate to our lives, and that when we do this, our musical journeys become personal, worthwhile, and exciting.

When he isn't teaching, Dwight enjoys searching for music he hasn't heard before, drawing, reading philosophy books, and writing poetry. You might see him at an art store, bookstore, or any record shop that still sells CDs or vinyl.

Dwight enjoys listening to and playing a wide range of music. In addition to being a skilled saxophonist and instructor, he has experience as a jazz bandleader, music producer, and DJ. He looks forward to sharing what he's learned with you!
