Jackie Thompson

Jackie Thompson is a dedicated piano instructor who believes that music education should be both enjoyable and rewarding. A graduate of the DePaul University School of Music, Jackie combines her formal musical training with a patient, encouraging teaching style that helps students build confidence and develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

Jackie teaches students ages 7 and older, tailoring each lesson to the individual student's goals, learning style, and experience level. From students just beginning their musical journey to advanced players looking to strengthen their skills, she focuses on developing a solid foundation in piano performance, note reading, music theory, rhythm, ear training, and musicianship. She strives to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.

Jackie is passionate about sharing the joy of music and helping each student discover the confidence, discipline, and personal satisfaction that come from learning to play the piano. She looks forward to partnering with families to support their child's musical growth and achievement.

When Jackie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their 3 grown children and her granddaughter, gardening and attending baseball and football games.
