Matt Postma

Trained in a variety of vocal styles, including classical, opera, jazz, and pop, Matt is a dedicated voice instructor who wants his students to love what they’re learning to sing. He joins Robin’s Nest Music with a wealth of experience, including teaching K-12 vocal music, working as a traveling Voice and Music Theory instructor for daycares and community centers throughout Chicagoland, and singing with both the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Lyric Opera of Chicago!

Matt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Music Education from Augustana College, and not only led various masterclasses for Augustana and Drake University students during his time there, but was an integral part of reestablishing Augustana College’s Opera program.

When Matt isn’t teaching or singing, you’ll find him watching professional sports of all kinds, going to the movies, and playing cards with friends. Matt takes pride in helping his students pave their own paths on their musical journeys, and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with you!
