Voice
Nana Jenkins is a professional mezzo-soprano, voice teacher, and arts advocate dedicated to guiding singers toward confident, expressive, and healthy vocalism. Drawing on her experience as a performer, she brings a unique artistic insight into the studio, helping students cultivate vocal clarity, musical connection, and artistic confidence. Her teaching experience spans private voice studios, general music classrooms, vocal ensembles, masterclasses, workshops, and academic lectures, grounded in classical technique and enriched by work across multiple genres. Known for her flexible, student-centered approach, Nana works with singers of all levels to develop strong technical foundations and meaningful artistic expression.
Nana is passionate about empowering individuals through music, particularly in under-resourced communities. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Vocal Pedagogy from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Administration with a concentration in voice from North Park University. Her impact is further shaped by global training and experience, including Music for Social Change and Human Values (North Park), Music and Social Action (Yale University), and Value-Based Education through the Ministry of Education in Thailand, where she taught English, music, and human values across multiple grade levels. Whether preparing students for auditions, performances, or personal growth, she creates a learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow as artists. She continues to perform regularly in and out of the Midwest, appearing in opera productions, concerts, recitals, and lecture recitals!
