Parker Beasley

Piano

Parker is a Chicago-area music instructor with a background in band and orchestra instruments, music theory, and audio engineering. His primary instrument is piano, which he has played for over a decade. Parker also has experience performing and teaching brass, woodwind, string and percussion instruments.

His teaching approach begins with understanding each student’s individual goals and interests, then building a strong foundation of physical coordination, instrumental technique, and music theory. In his lessons, Parker enjoys combining traditional method books, music theory resources, and song-based learning depending on each student’s goals and learning styles.

Parker has performed with a variety of ensembles and groups, including the UIC premier wind ensemble and string orchestra, his own fusion winds band Phones & Bones, and as a studio session musician.
